Membership Goal Achieved

We are pleased to announce the results of our membership drive that began in November.  The goal was to increase membership to 1,000. The goal was met and exceeded and we are now 1,063 members strong among 46 local chapters! As a result of the membership drive, the following new chapters have been formed:  Bearden, East Poinsett County, Guy Perkins, Marked Tree, Mineral Springs, Omaha, Osceola, Rivercrest, Rural Special Youth, and St. Joe.  Many other chapters have increased their membership ranks.

The winner of the membership drive contest is Bradley Chapter Leader Penny Harris who registered 48 new members at Bradley, bringing their local chapter to 84 members.  We salute Bradley area residents for their commitment to school and community.  They are now our 2nd largest chapter.  As winner of the contest, Penny won a stay at Conway Hilton Garden Inn, $50 cash, and a TGIF gift card.  Penny works as a phlebotomist and a relief rural mail carrier, serves as Treasurer of New Hope Church, volunteers with Extension Homemakers Club, and with VIP (Very Important Parents), the parent involvement program at Bradley School.  We are fortunate to have Penny as a volunteer chapter leader at Bradley. Good work, Penny!

Bradley, Arkansas is located 40 miles south of Hope in the southern part of Lafayette County which borders Louisiana. Bradley Public School is a rural school educating about 400 students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Thank you to all who participated in the membership drive.  And welcome to all our new members!
